June 5, 2017 - Day #4 Zipping through Kauai
June 5, 2017
Mosos and Adriane took the little ones to the Hideaway Beach that David recommended. He said that it was close by and easy to get to. They left around 8:00 am. The teenagers slept in, David went golfing, and the rest of us chilled at the house, but not for long. Moses and Adriane came home 1 ½ hour later. Sam had an allergic reaction (swollen eyes and difficultly breathing). Jillian, being the good big sister she is, was well prepared and had packed her brother's meds with her. A Benadryl took care of the problem and by the time they got back to the house he was fine. The hard part was trying to figure out what he was allergic to. Either the scrambled eggs he ate an hour ago or the Funyuns he had on the beach.
I booked a zip-lining trip for the teenagers for the afternoon. Hanh, Dad, and I will be the adults accompanying these teens. The age requirement is 10 years and 75 lbs. Matty barely made the weight requirement and used his backpack for extra weight. We had amazing weather, it was overcast and only rained for 5 mins. Our group of 11 was big enough to have a private tour. Our tour guides, Derek and Omar were young and relatable to the kids. They even allowed them to blast their music while zip-lining. Matty got stuck only once and my dad didn't get hurt so it was a good day.
We came home to another amazing dinner. The ladies prepared Pho Ga (chicken) and a Banana flower, mango salad. The banana flowers, mangoes, and lemons were picked from the rental house backyard. So delicious!
