June 7, 2017 - Day #6 Wailua River

June 7, 2017 Today is our big group adventure day.  It took a lot of planning for a group of 21 people.  We are canoeing/kayaking on the Wailua River and hiking 1 mile to the Secret Falls.  Vincent and I strategized pairing up strong rowers with non-rowers.  After much debate, we finally came up with a list we can agree on. After doing an internet research on Wailua River kayaking adventure, I found a place that was very reasonable in price.  Most places charge $50/person and require a start time of 7am or 12pm with a 5 hour limit.  On TripAdvisor, most people recommended Kamokila Hawaiian Village. They charge $30/child and $35/adult with no time limit.  Just return before closing time of 5pm.  Even though their rentals are on a first come first serve basis, they agreed to reserve them for us because of our large group.  We arrived at the Village at 8:30am.  On top of the great price, they gave us a group discount, everyone is charge...

June 6, 2017 - Day #5 Chillin

June 6, 2017 Today was a day of leisure.  Mom, David, Tiffanie, Hanh, Ethan, and Joey left early in the morning for a 5 mile hike.  Moses and Adriane went on a mini date and snorkeled at Hideaway Beach.  I hung out at home lounging around with Mikey.  I made plans to go get shaved ice at Tege Tege, the best place in Kauai.  To our disappointment, we found out that they are closed today.  Alternate plans were made to go to the beach and go to Tege Tege tomorrow after our canoe adventure. We rounded up the boys and headed to Black Pot Beach in Hanalei.  There's a pier that our boys naturally navigated towards.  It's also a place where the local boys hangout.  The local boys were doing flips into the water, After getting tips from the local boys, our boys attempted to do the same.  There were more misses than hits.  A lot of them were belly flops.  Overall, they had a lot of fun.  The best part was that you can part is t...
