June 6, 2017 - Day #5 Chillin

June 6, 2017

Today was a day of leisure.  Mom, David, Tiffanie, Hanh, Ethan, and Joey left early in the morning for a 5 mile hike.  Moses and Adriane went on a mini date and snorkeled at Hideaway Beach.  I hung out at home lounging around with Mikey.  I made plans to go get shaved ice at Tege Tege, the best place in Kauai.  To our disappointment, we found out that they are closed today.  Alternate plans were made to go to the beach and go to Tege Tege tomorrow after our canoe adventure.

We rounded up the boys and headed to Black Pot Beach in Hanalei.  There's a pier that our boys naturally navigated towards.  It's also a place where the local boys hangout.  The local boys were doing flips into the water, After getting tips from the local boys, our boys attempted to do the same.  There were more misses than hits.  A lot of them were belly flops.  Overall, they had a lot of fun.  The best part was that you can part is that you can park your car right on the beach.  I was able to watch the boys while sitting in the car.

After the beach, we dropped the kids off at the house.  Moses, Adriane, Tiffanie, Hanh, and I went to St. Regis Hotel for drinks and appetizers.  We ordered a Dragon roll for $32 and a Soft Shell Crab roll for $36!  It was good but definitely not worth the price.  We watched a beautiful sunset and I FaceTime with Russell to share the moment.

David, Tiffanie, Adriane, Moses, and I went to town to have dinner at a highly rated restaurant, Hanalei Gourmet.  We had a good time but the food was not good.  I enjoyed watching Adriane get tipsy.  She even brought out the air guitar!
